Palestinian surgeon and musician Doc Jazz has released a new album, titled “Love in the Time of Corona“. It’s 2020, the year has had a very strange and disconcerting start. In your self-quarantined quarters, you’re going to need some music that puts you in the right mood to get you through these uncertain times.

Doc Jazz’s latest album

This is what Doc Jazz is presenting you with: a collection of songs that vary from romantic ballads, to funky tunes, to uplifting rhythms, and to groovy beats. Exploring swirling lush soundscapes, intriguing melodies, and empowering lyrics, this multi-instrumentalist singer-/songwriter will take you on a musical journey.

Doc Jazz guides you on your travels through modern electronic sounds, just as easily and comfortably as through authentic pure instrumentation. Find the amazing energy that can be found in the border zone between the realms of recognizable familiarity, and surprising originality. Meanwhile, you will encounter the sweetness of rich harmonies, as well as the bite of rhythmical poetry. And if you listen with attention, you will not miss the message in the words.

On some of the songs, Doc Jazz does all the instruments, and on some of the others, he has lined up an exciting array of talented and experienced session musicians and vocalists.

If music could be felt through words, it would make itself redundant. Of course, this description is only here to arouse your curiosity, but in itself, it is meaningless until you have heard the songs. This is why you should stop reading now, take a deep breath, cancel any activity that you were about to start on, and dive right into the music!
