Update on the CD contest
Many thanks to those who entered the contest! Your comments in the guestbook (those who did indeed sign it - and remember that points in the quiz are involved in this) are also very encouraging, and highly appreciated. One funny thing though … no one has scored 100% yet ! So - there are still plenty of chances, both for those who already entered, and those who are considering to enter. The three highest scores will have Front Door Key sent to their homes … and if no one has scored 100 % when the contest closes - so be it! This means this could still be one of the ones who already entered. In any case, this is fun, and the more contestants try out the quiz, the better the chances of us repeating this contest, with a new quiz with new questions. Happy quizzing !

Doc Jazz in magazine on protest music
This issue of the magazine Global Bits, which appears three times a year in New Zealand, titled ‘Get Up Stand Up - Music For Change’ is an excellent overview about protest music throughout history and in all parts of the world. This special was produced in cooperation with Save the Children, in support of the United Nations Decade for Education for Sustainable Development. If you are into music, and want to know more about Music For Change, this issue is really worth while to read. Click here to view the magazine. The issue lists Doc Jazz among many significant songwriters in the world! Here’s a quote: ‘Labeling the Musical Intifadah movement Music for Human Rights, Palestinian artist and general surgeon Doc Jazz’s website states that it opposes all types of racism, including anti-semitism, zionism, and other ideologies that uphold beliefs in either the superiority or inferiority of other races. With his songs, Doc Jazz aims to prevent a viewpoint that differs from the usual perspective that people living in Europe, the United States and many other parts of the world, are presented with through their regular news sources. “Palestinians who paid for its [Israel’s] creation with the total annihilation of their sovereignty are still alive today. Most of them live in refugee camps in the countries surrounding their homeland.”‘
