“I would swear that the funky player, poppin’ the bass in the video, was from one of those super funk bands from the eighties. Instead it’s good old Doc Jazz laying down the funky lines!”

“I usually love Doc Jazz’s phrasing and rhythms and “Rising Tide” is one of his best.”

“Doc Jazz’s heart beats fiercely with the understanding and conviction that no-one should suffer any form of oppression or injustice, passively.”

“Doc Jazz is a gifted musician … has a legacy of putting out quality songs of substance and integrity”

“Like him or not, you have to give Doc Jazz the credit he deserves.”

The review is also supportive of efforts for the sake of the Palestinian cause and has also been included in the printed version of the magazine!

“A super-funky groove that demands you listen. That’s the way you get a message across!”

“The song has a very Prince-esque feel to it, harkening to his Sign “O” The Times and New Power Generation days.”

“The bass groove is definitely driving this song, and there’s some killer backup vocals. You can easily tell this was crafted by a musician with skill and a whole lot of heart.”

“Bravo to a man of multi-talents!”

——- ALEX FAULKNER, music journalist, gives the song a verdict of 8.8 out of 10:

“Essentially it is still pop music, and you can hear the influence of artists like Stevie Wonder and Jamiroquai.”

“… a funky verse, with some sharp guitar and bass playing”

“Doc has a good singing voice that suits the song and is easy on the ear”

“Overall, this is a well written, performed and produced song that works simply as an enjoyable piece of music, but is all the more powerful for the noble spiritual and political message behind the words.”

“I expect Doc Jazz to continue to grow in popularity and hopefully one day he will be able to write a song celebrating the resolution of a conflict that has run on for decades.”
