Doc Jazz video on history of Palestine infuriates Zionists

A short video made and narrated by Doc Jazz, which outlines the history of the Zionist colonization and ethnic cleansing of Palestine, has gone viral on Facebook, attaining a reach of 148,160 people, being shared 1,639 times, and watched over 28,750 times at the time of the publication of this post, only 48 hours after its release.

Doc Jazz used the excellent resources presented by Al Jazeera English in their new ‘Palestine Remix‘ series to create this video, which aims to present the audience with the facts and figures of demography and land control in Palestine, from the times of the Balfour declaration until today.

Besides its enthusiastic reception among Palestine supporters, the Doc Jazz page saw a wave of angry posts by Zionists, which was reminiscent of the vitriolic wave of hatred that came to the page from Zionist circles during the Israeli assault on Gaza this past summer. As is the policy of the Doc Jazz page, these hateful posts are not kept there, but removed.

It makes total sense that Zionists, who are dedicated to misrepresenting and falsifying the history of Palestine, would respond angrily to simple historical facts that can be found in any encyclopedia. Their propaganda always aims at distracting the public from the historical fact that ‘Israel’ was created by means of violent invasion, expulsion, ethnic cleansing and genocide. A short and powerful video like this one would of course, in their view, be a highly unwanted eye-opener for many among the world who are not well-informed about the history of the Nakba (the ‘Catastrophe’).

The video has been embedded in this post (see below), and can be watched, liked and shared directly from here, at least if you use a regular browser on a laptop or desktop computer. Its previous and highly successful release in Dutch has also been embedded here, below the English version.
