Our team
wishes to welcome you to this website, a Palestinian initiative which aims to present to you an
alternative way of promoting the cause of the Palestinian people. We
aim to
promote and support projects that involve music of any kind, for the
Palestinian
cause, which is essentially a human rights issue, more than it is a
political
one.
In
its
melodic and original non-profit manner, the Musical Intifadah hopes to
portray
the reality of the continuing infringements upon the rights and the
lives of
the Palestinian people, to those who are willing to listen to the
music. In this way, we believe, the message becomes more accessible to those in the public who are
not primarily interested in
politics. Therefore, we hope to reach an audience that would
otherwise
remain oblivious to the truths about an issue, that is perhaps the most
talked
about conflict in the modern world.
The music on this website has many
different styles, accommodating for various tastes in music, as you can
see if
you browse through the song pages. Generally speaking, it adresses the
Western world, where misinformation in the media concerning the
Palestinian cause, is unfortunately rampant.
We
are very
thankful to those artists, many of them from the United States, who
contributed
their music clips to the project, which can be accessed by clicking here.
We hope their example will inspire more musicians, from anywhere
in the world, to record songs about this issue, in which case we
would love to hear more about it.
We
invite
you to send your constructive comments, marketing suggestions, or
questions
about the distribution of music, or live performances, through the email
form .
